The teaching staff has been appointed to cover central areas within European Studies at the highest level, and the European Commission has granted our European Studies Group two Jean Monnet Chairs.
Our research activities cover various subjects. Comparative integration studies have become a particular focus of our research. Other staff members work e.g. on problems of European Political Economy.
Any day at the Department you will meet staff from at least four continents, and you will regularly bump into guest lecturing African chiefs, NGO activists, military generals, accomplished top diplomats and other civil servants, and, of course, scholars from practically everywhere on the planet.
Aalborg is a charming town with a rich variation of cultural and social activities, located in the pleasant varied Northern Juttish landscape with the Limfjord, wooden hills and open fields, two sea shores not being far away.
